Recording the JESUS Film

The Recording Process

Going from zero to gospel isn’t an easy task. The JESUS Film Project partners with many like-hearted ministries around the globe to accomplish this. After 35 years of experience, this ministry has come a long way, translating and recording the gospel into over 1,700 languages!

The process begins at Head Office with a research stage to determine the need for the gospel in a specific language. When the need is established and approved, a script of the JESUS film is sent to the field and translated.

Once a ministry partner who will support these people is found, a recording team is sent to the field to dub the JESUS film on site using the voices of the people in that group. With new technology, technicians are able to edit and mix the recording on site. Once technicians arrive, the script becomes a completed recording in just 8 days!
