Kuranko 2017

Saidu and Foray have teamed up since 2011 to take the Gospel throughout the Northern Province of Sierra Leone through the JFCPS. The Kurankoland is one of the first areas in the country to adopt Islam although many Muslims are nominal. People still follow traditional religion.

As of December 2017, they have planted 112 churches and trained 873 Action Group members. No less than 7,879 decisions for Christ have been reported by the JFCPS team over the last 6 years, including the months when the ministry was suspended due to the Ebola outbreak.

The effectiveness of the strategy in Kurankoland is aptly expressed in a comment from Kabala Town pastor A.B., who has planted five churches with the JFCPS. He told the JFCPS team, “Since the introduction of this church planting strategy in oru district, I’ve been working with you. Indeed, it has helped our mission to expand to places we never thought of going. You have helped the Body of Christ here, in the area of church planting and evangelism. Your training materials are widely used in most of our churches. I want to thank you very much for a job well done. We continue to work with you as long as your team is here."
